With fresh ingredients and imaginative flavours, this is a fun and interesting way to learn about the local cuisine. Enjoy hands on cooking from start to finish with three fabulous Vietnamese dishes.
As part of you’re your class you will also be given the recipes, so when you get back home, you will be able to impress your family and friends with some great Vietnamese dishes.
What your half day cookery class includes:
You will be met by Dat, at your hotel, for the short trip to the local market. Here you will experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy marketplace. You will have opportunity to learn the art of bargaining as well as learn about the many wonderfull ingredients available.
Then with the produce in hand, transfer to a typical Vietnamese kitchen, where you will be shown the traditional way of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food. Now it’s your turn to chop, grate, slice, roll, and cook the ingredients for a delicious meal.
Not sure would you like to cook? Some typical local favorites are: Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Stuffed Squid and Banana Flower Salad. Just ask Dat if there is something special that you would like to try.
At the end of your class, sit down and enjoy your creation with a nice glass of local Vietnamese wine or cold beer, before being transferred back to your hotel.
Classes are available either mornings or afternoons. Evening classes are also available, however they do not include the trip to the local market.
